A social computer club whose members live in Carlyle Gardens Retirement Resort, Townsville. With over 100 members, it is one of the largest social groups among the many associations, clubs and societies organised by residents within Carlyle Gardens Retirement Resort. The Computer Club room was provided by the management of Carlyle Gardens Retirement Resort.

The Carlyle Gardens Computer Club holds monthly meetings during which members or invited guests provide a presentation on some aspect of using computers. The club committee arrange tutorials and workshops on using computers.

The Carlyle Gardens Computer Club holds meetings at 7 p.m. on the fourth Tuesday of each month. The committee organise a guest speaker for each meeting.

As well, a wonderful array of finger food appears, organised by the ladies who do so much for the club. I think some people attend mainly for the social meeting after the talk.

Members of the Computer Club committee and other volunteers regularly teach daytime classes and provide tutorials and help in using computers. These are held in the computer club room.

Excel workshops are scheduled from 10 a.m. until noon on Thursday 2 and 16 May 2013, with Kevin Poschalk and David Cunningham.

Photos and Picasa workshops will be held 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. on Wednesday 8 and 15 May 2013, conducted by Laurie Wickham.

If I had an emailed text or Word version of Infonite flyers older than April 2009, I could use them to generate a partial history of club events. At the moment I have no real idea of the early days. Please help.

We would eventually like volunteers to take over providing part of the content of this web site. However help is wanted in many areas. These are mostly artistic (appearance of the site) to start. Later, if anyone wants to learn about creating web pages, there would be a chance to learn.
